ITEM: BC307 An
early desirable K98 bayonet manufactured in
1927 and issued to the 5th company infantry
regiment 38 as marked on the cross-guard.
The bayonet originally would have had wooden
grip plates and was reworked at some point
as indicated by the " SU25 " hilt and
flash-guard stamps. Originally would have
been matched with a wuk scabbard that was
probably replaced when refurbished possibly
in 1938 when the scabbard is dated. These
bayonets are hard to find in any condition.
